I am a fine artist and educator living and working in Columbus, OH. At Temple University in Philadelphia, PA I received my Bachelor's in Fine Art and Minor in Psychology. Later, I went on to study Art Education at Ohio State University, obtaining my PK-12 Visual Art Teaching Certification. To build my expertise in working with English language learners in the art room, I completed my master's degree at University of Cincinnati in PK-12 TESOL.
Much of my work is inspired by nature and feminine identity. Using paint and mixed media including printmaking, fibers, and found material; I create abstract worlds with mystical energy. This energy and mystery of the natural unknown is what drives my passion for creating.
As an art educator, I am continuously working to inspire young individuals to create and question the world around them. I currently teach at a dual language Spanish immersion school, using both Spanish and English to facilitate bilingual art lessons. By exposing students to a variety of art techniques, materials, and ideas; I hope to broaden their skills and help them succeed as leaders of the future. I have led several mural projects, driving collaboration and creativity between students and school community members.
